Labor leaders ‘cautiously optimistic’ about Diamond District terms

Richmond city council is ready to select RVA Diamond Partners LLC for a $2 point 4 billion-dollar redevelopment project near Scott's Addition. The city set some pretty high goals for local hiring, like requiring all new unskilled construction hires come from Richmond. And that the developer strives for 40% minority and small business participation. City council’s vote on Monday needs seven votes to pass. After that the binding terms of the deal will be determined.
Virginia’s Spanish-Language elections website hasn’t been fully updated since 2021

It’s just days before early voting begins in Virginia, but a Department of Elections webpage intended for Spanish-speaking voters does not have current information about key election dates, candidate lists, or the new same-day registration process.
