In 2013, Tiffani Gallop began working with children who have various disabilities.

Tiffani Gallop is a pediatric nurse in the Hampton Roads area. In 2013, she began working with children who have various disabilities. At the same time, she was realizing the benefits of yoga in her personal life.

She decided to combine the two passions to create Let Me Be Great Children's Yoga, which serves children in Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore and North Carolina.

VPM News Morning Edition host Phil Liles recently spoke to Gallop about her work.

“Yoga helps on a multitude of different levels,” Gallop told Liles. “[T]o gain strength, it also helps with children just being able to pause, take a moment to think about what they’re doing, what they’re feeling and figure out what’s the best next move before they have an outburst or negative behavior that causes a consequence.”

Phil Liles is VPM's morning news host.
