Looking for Justice at the Scene of a Crime

As a college student, Terri Jentz and a traveling companion were viciously attacked in an Oregon campsite by an axe-wielding stranger who was never brought to justice. Both survived, but were left with physical and emotional trauma.

Fifteen years later, she returned to the scene of the crime and tracked down the man who tried to kill her. She documented her emotional journey in her memoir Strange Piece of Paradise.
