Hennessey Takes His Trumpet to Hollywood

We caught up with Sean Hennessey six years after his original appearance on From the Top.

Now in his early twenties, Sean graduated from Northwestern University and now lives in Los Angeles where he is a student in the Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at the University of Southern California.

"I'm having a blast!" he says.

Since moving to L.A., Sean has met a variety of industry professionals such as John Williams and Alan Silvestri, and he also has had the opportunity to work closely with Michael Giacchino, who scores the TV show Lost. Sean knows that breaking into the film industry can be difficult, but he's ready to take on the challenge.

"I've learned that a lot of it has to do with confidence and your belief in what you have to offer," he says. "It's really a matter of how bad you want it."
