John Lewis Recalls MLK, As Obama Makes History

Forty-five years ago today, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his historic "I Have a Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial.

Congressman John Lewis of Georgia was one of the speakers during the March on Washington.

NPR senior national correspondent Linda Wertheimer spoke with Lewis, who shared with her his memories of that historic speech and his emotions as he gears up to give his own speech tonight at the Democratic National Convention.
