Gaiman Wins Newbery For 'The Graveyard Book'

Neil Gaiman has a loyal following among fans of science fiction and fantasy — he is known for his sophisticated mythologies and sinister milieus. But on Monday, Gaiman was recognized for capturing the imaginations of young readers.

His most recent offering, The Graveyard Book, was awarded the Newbery Medal, the most prestigious American honor in children's literature.
