Amy Dickinson doles out advice in her syndicated column "Ask Amy" for the Chicago Tribune. In her memoir, The Mighty Queens of Freeville, she shares some of the mistakes she's made in her life, and how she got through them with advice from the women in her family.
Dickinson also credits her daughter, Emily Mason, with helping to raise her. Both women, mother and daughter, learned a lot from the Freeville Queens.
