3 gallons water
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup kosher salt
1 bag fresh cranberries, crushed
1 cinnamon stick
6 cloves
3 sprigs rosemary
10 black peppercorns
zest of two oranges
1 quart cranberry juice
In a heavy sauce pot, combine 1 gallon of water, sugar, salt, cranberries, cinnamon clove, rosemary, peppercorns and orange zest. Bring to a boil, and immediately turn off and let steep for 20 minutes.
