Around this time last year, tragedy struck the All Songs Considered offices when a mysterious grinch secretly stole host Bob Boilen's collection of holiday sleigh bells. After a nearly year-long search, the mystery has finally been solved. You can hear all about on this special holiday edition of the program, along with a great mix of music featuring Luciano Pavarotti, The Ramones, and more.

Host Bob Boilen, producer Robin Hilton, NPR Music editor Stephen Thompson, and guest Barrie Hardymon of Talk of the Nation share some of the tunes that get them in the mood for warm cookies, hot cocoa, and even Santa Claus. So grab a blanket and curl up in front of the fire with your favorite cuddling buddy.

NPR Music has put together a number of other holiday music specials to get you in the spirit of the season, including our annual 24-hour Jingle Jams stream. We asked 10 of NPR Music's partner stations to send us 10 of their favorite holiday songs, so this continuous stream is packed with gems. From Bach to The Ramones to Louis Armstrong, it's a perfect playlist for those who wish to indulge in the spirit of the season while remaining glued to the computer.

You'll find more in our complete coverage of holiday music for 2010, including 5 Depressing Blues Songs For Christmas, Annoying Music For Christmas, and more.
