This week: The rise of the machines. The latest edition of All Songs Considered begins with a demonstration of the iPhone application Songify, which magically turns Bob Boilen's standard show introduction into beautiful music. Bob's not the only one with mobile app fever: This week's show includes the first single from Bjork's forthcoming album Biophilia, which will be released as an interactive experience for touch-screen devices.

Also on this episode of All Songs: premieres from the L.A. pop quintet Grouplove and the Scottish post-punk band We Were Promised Jetpacks, Andrew Bird's contribution to an all-star Muppets tribute, celebrating the 25th anniversary of a classic from R.E.M., and new music from the unsung veterans in Teddybears, with a little help from The Flaming Lips.
