As McConnell's weakness shows, far right of GOP calls for him to step down

Following last week’s failed attempt at a bipartisan border deal, Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is facing renewed calls from the right wing of his party to step aside and allow new leadership in the Senate.

McConnell, who has been the top GOP Senator for 17 years, has pushed back on the notion but has also faced questions about his mental and physical well-being.

Princeton historian and CNN contributor Julian Zelizer has been writing about McConnell and the GOP plan. He joins host Robin Young.
