Morning Edition and Up First welcome new digital editor, Obed Manuel

In a note to newsroom staff, Treye Green, Digital Supervising Editor, sent the following update:

I am excited to share that Obed Manuel will be joining Morning Edition and Up First as a Digital Editor. 

Obed Manuel is currently the editor of Denverite, which is powered by Colorado Public Radio. He first joined CPR News as an Audience Editor in 2021.

He has also previously reported for The Dallas Morning News, was an editor at Central Track, and was a member of the inaugural Report for America 2018 class. Obed received his bachelor's degree in journalism from the Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas. 

Obed is a native of Mexico and grew up in Dallas, Texas. Obed's first day with us will be April 1, and I am so excited to welcome him to the ME team.
