Debating Trump's trial on falsifying business records

Former President Donald Trump’s trial resumes Thursday. He’s accused of falsifying business records — covering up payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, to hide an alleged affair. Trump denies all charges.

The case has created a divide among legal experts.

Here & Now‘s Robin Young speaks with two experts with different views on the case: Boston University law professor Jed Handelsman Shugerman and University of Michigan law professor Barbara McQuade, former U.S. attorney appointed by former President Barack Obama.
