On this day, 20 years ago, David Wilson and Rob Compton became one of the first same-sex couples to be married in the United States. They were also plaintiffs in Goodridge v. Department of Public Health, the court case that made same-sex marriage legal in Massachusetts.

Friday marks 20 years since Massachusetts became the first state to allow same-sex marriage. We reflect on the anniversary with Wilson and Compton.
