STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:
Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep. An orphaned sea otter pup was wounded, dehydrated and malnourished when people in Seward, Alaska, found him. They scooped him up and sent him to a new home at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Baby sea otters need 24-hour care from their moms, and the aquarium says it can stand in. The otter does have an awkward name - Pup EL2306 - but as of this morning, we've received no word that he particularly cares. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
