The Super Bowl featured plenty of glitz — which all takes lots of power

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Last night's Super Bowl featured plenty of glitz - bright lights, mega TV screens, confetti cannons - all of which took a lot of power - 10 megawatts, enough to power 46,000 homes. Allegiant Stadium in Vegas gets its power from a Nevada solar farm - so an eco-friendly event, except, of course, for the private jets. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
