The Grammy award-winning ensemble Chanticleer has released a new album “Then and There, Here and Now” in celebration of their 40th anniversary. It features a wide range of the group’s repertoire, from the earliest music (from the 1500s) to the most recent. Featured composers include Palestrina, Victoria, Stucky, Sametz and Bates.

Israeli-American cellist Amit Peled, who teaches at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, will release his latest album, the Bach Suites Volume 1, on February 1st. What’s so intriguing is that Peled recorded these on the 1733 Goffriller cello formerly owned by Pablo Casals.
