The historic Appalachian Trail runs from Georgia to Maine along the East coast of the United States and is generally regarded as the longest hiking trail in the world, attracting thousands of hikers each year. We here in the Shenandoah Valley, are lucky enough to be able to enjoy a large swath of the trail right in our own backyard. We recently caught up with numerous hikers along the trail to discover first hand, the majesty, and poetry of The historic Appalachian Trail.
