Pick of the Week: Chesterfield County Makerspace Open Hours

Chesterfield County Makerspace

The Chesterfield County Makerspace invites Chesterfield residents to drop in and try a project or two at their twice-weekly Open Hours event.

The Makerspace promotes science and engineering education through hands-on learning, with activities in 3D printing, laser cutting, virtual reality, robotics and more. They also work with organizations that create E-NABLE 3D-printed prosthetics and Go Baby Go adapted ride-on vehicles for children in need.

Open Hours are held at L.C. Bird High School on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and are for both adults and children 10 and up. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent. Experienced mentors will be there to answer questions and offer guidance to anyone who wants to roll up their sleeves and make something memorable.
