With many schools in the area closed, VPM is now offering Learning Plus, a special educational TV schedule for learning at home. Beginning March 23, Learning Plus programming will air from 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on weekdays on our VPM Plus channel.
From 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., younger children can tune in to selected PBS KIDS programs. All shows are developed by teachers with curriculum objectives that teach literacy, science, math, social/emotional skills and more.
From 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Learning Plus will air educational programs for middle and high school students in the areas of science, social studies, arts and more. Highlights include programs like NOVA, the local wildlife series UNTAMED, an encore broadcast of Little Women and historical documentaries like The Great War, The Greeks, The Gettysburg Story.
