VPM WORLD

World at home learning logo

While schools in Virginia are closed in response to the COVID-19 virus, VPM WORLD Channel will provide a daily, five-hour At-Home Learning Service for students in grades 6-12.

From 12 noon – 5 pm weekdays, VPM WORLD Channel will offer the At-Home Learning lineup of science, history and English language arts programming, and more. For the full schedule check out  VPM's TV Schedule.

For each program, educators and parents are encouraged to go to PBS LearningMedia to find additional resources like grab-and-go activities, lesson plans, interactive lessons and media that illustrate specific topics or themes and support materials across subjects.

The new broadcast programming will be supplemented with additional resources from PBS LearningMedia, which is partnering with the WORLD Channel. The resources in PBS LearningMedia, which were developed based on feedback from educators, are aligned to curriculum standards in every state and contextualized for educational use. These resources include grab-and-go activities, lesson plans, interactive lessons and media that illustrate specific topics or themes and support materials across subjects.

The World Channel will provide an educational schedule through the end of August.
