COPY:

To help students avoid the summer slide, VPM has partnered with educators and non-profit organizations to create content that will keep students in grades 4- 10 engaged in learning and inspired to discover more. Each show has been created and filmed by educators from their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.  In certain shows, educators also introduce professionally produced segments that reinforce the concepts being taught in an episode.  The goal of VPM Classroom content is to education, entertain and inspire.

VPM Classroom explores the following content areas and are correlated with Virginia Standards of Learning:

  • American History (4-6)
  • English (6-8 grades)
  • Science (4-10 grades)
  • Space (4-7 grades)
  • Visual, Performing and Cultural Arts (4- adult)
  •
  • VPM Classroom airs each weekday starting at 1:00 p.m. on VPM’s Plus Channel from July 6 - August 14.  (link to TV Schedule?)
