We can almost feel the shift in the air - from lazy summer days to schools and schedules and art seasons. Of course, routines don’t look the same as they did even a year ago. But our arts and culture community continues to re-vision how we can experience all that our creative region has to offer. We have at our fingertips museums, galleries, performances - online and socially-distanced. As the weather turns cooler and we ease into our new normal once again, take time to step away from the stress and enjoy our amazing local arts and culture community.

The Virginia War Memorial hosts Commonwealth’s Patriot Day program, commemorating our national day of mourning, to honor and remember the 2,997 persons who died and the over 6,000 individuals injured as a result of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Following the program, the VWM will share their new documentary, A New Century, A New War.”
