Join the The JXN Project on April 17 from 6-10 p.m. for “Illuminating Legacies: Giles B. Jackson Day,” the kickoff event for a months-long celebration commemorating the 150th anniversary of Jackson Ward, the nation’s first historically registered Black urban neighborhood and the “Birthplace of Black Entrepreneurship.”

The April 17th celebration will consist of a series of socially-distanced tours through art activations and projections on walls across the ward’s historical footprint, revealing the neighborhood’s many “hidden histories.” Attendees may opt for self-guided tours on foot or by personal vehicle or expert-guided tours via trolley or tuk tuks beginning on the 3rd Street side of the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Check out the full experience, free registration and trolley seat reservations here
