During the conversation with Meagher, Avula discusses how he’s building his team and working on finding the city's next Chief Administrative Officer in order to hit the ground running on Jan. 1. He speaks about how he'll tackle his top priorities of creating more affordable housing, better schools and safer streets. He also talks about his ideas for creating a more inclusive city and how he'll advocate for the city on both the state and federal level.
