Seventh season of Un-Wine'd now available to stream

Do you love different kinds of wine and want to learn about what food pairs well with them? Are you curious to learn about the bounty of wineries and vineyards throughout Virginia? For six seasons, host Tassie Pippert has introduced audiences to the tastes and terroir of the Commonwealth via her show Un-Wine'd. As the latest season gets ready to debut on VPM PBS, Tassie and her crew are eager to share a new batch of wineries and vineyards to visit throughout Virginia along with new recipes to pair with several of the wines.

Season 7 of Un-Wine'd premieres Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. on VPM PBS and is now available to stream on the PBS App.

“Food and wine bring people together,” said host Tassie Pippert. “After visiting more than 80 wineries for Un-Wine'd and having experienced such warm hospitality, I am excited for what the future holds in Virginia Wine and Tourism. The people I have met have been wonderful and the wines are second to none."

This season will see Tassie and the Un’Wine’d team visit their 75th winery/vineyard since launching the show. Some of the places that viewers will get to see in the new season include: Ecco Adesso Vineyards, Southwest Mountains Vineyards, Revalation Vineyards, Grace Estates Winery, Eastwood Farm and Winery, 7 Lady Vineyards, Loving Cup Vineyard and Beliveau Farm Winery.

Tassie will also welcome audiences back into her kitchen as she prepares numerous recipes to pair with certain wines. From a Philly cheesesteak in a baked potato and creamy corn chowder, to roasted sesame encrusted salmon with creamy farro and deep-dish pizza, there’s sure to be a pairing for everyone this season.

“I love how Un-Wine’d introduces our audience to the different wine regions of Virginia and the passionate people making quality wines that are unique to those regions,” said Un-Wine'd senior producer Clay Bretz.

Hosted by Tassie Pippert, Un-Wine'd is a show that takes viewers on a journey throughout Virginia to explore local winemaking traditions and the rich history of wine in the Commonwealth. Along the way, audiences can learn a bit about modern wine production techniques and spend time in Tassie's kitchen putting together some fantastic recipes that pair well with the featured wines.
