VPM President & CEO Jayme Swain elected PBS Board Vice Chair

PBS recently announced that Jayme Swain, President & CEO of VPM, was elected professional vice chair for the PBS board of directors.

“It is a profound honor to serve in a leadership position on the PBS Board of Directors at this pivotal moment for public media,” said Jayme. “While we face significant challenges, I am deeply inspired by the unwavering commitment of PBS and its member stations to strengthen communities nationwide—through compelling storytelling, trusted news and information and transformative educational programming for children.”

Jayme moves into a board leadership role vacated by Courtney Pledger. Jayme joined the PBS board in 2021.

Jayme is a media executive with over 20 years of experience in broadcast, print, and digital media. Prior to joining VPM in January 2019, she served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Operations at PBS, where she was a trusted advisor to the CEO and COO, led strategic planning, managed organization-wide projects, and developed solutions on behalf of the entire public broadcasting system.
