Pianist Roman Rabinovich has undertaken a project to perform and record all Haydn's piano sonatas.  He states "Haydn is the most underestimated of the great composers and one that I particularly adore. His wit, emotional depth and compositional invention have been a source of inspiration to me."

Rabinovich has earned a reputation for bringing Haydn's often-neglected keyboard works to life, and was praised by The New York Times for "admirable interpretations, performed with a rich, full-blooded sound, singing lines and witty dexterity"

I spoke with Roman about the first volume, which includes two CDs featuring Piano Sonatas Nos. 36, 32, 29, 52 and 47, as well as the Divertimento in E-flat.

Yours in good music,
