Award-winning British composer Ilan Eshkeri's work is performed in concert halls, theatres, galleries and on film & television. One of his latest projects was writing music for "The White Crow," a new film directed by Ralph Fiennes about the life of dancer Rudolf Nureyev. It "charts Nureyev's journey from childhood poverty in Siberia and meteoric rise as a principal dancer to the decisive moment of his defection in June 1961 at Le Bourget airport in Paris."

I had the opportunity to speak with Ilan about his varied background and the process putting together music for the film.

Yours in good music,
