Throughout the 2019-20 concert season, the Richmond Symphony is working with five guest conductors who have been named finalists to become the orchestra's next Music Director.
The second featured candidate is Ankush Kumar Bahl, who I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with in our VPM Music studios. He's in Richmond for two weeks, conducting the Altria Masterworks 4 concerts this weekend with clarinet soloist Anthony McGill, as well as next weekend's Pops 3 "Journey Into the Cosmos."
This weekend's concerts are Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the Carpenter Theatre and Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Glen Allen.
