The Richmond Ballet is presenting Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" this weekend in the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Energy Center. Regarded by many as "the pinnacle of classical ballet," the production opens on Valentine's Day for four weekend performances.
The ballet is choreographed by Nicholas Beriozoff, after Marius Petipa. Tchaikovsky's music will be brought to life by the Richmond Symphony. Resident Conductor Erin Freeman stopped by with company dancer Mate Szentes (plays Rothbart) to chat about the local production.
