Three Notch'd Road, The Virginia Baroque Ensemble returns to Richmond this weekend for a Sunday evening performance celebrating their tenth anniversary. The concert is titled "Shepherd's Star-Music for the Twelfth Night" and will feature seasonal music, with Christmas and audience favorites from the previous ten years. It will be held Sunday at 7PM, presented by Saint Benedict Catholic Church.
Named for the colonial route through central Virginia, Three Notch'd Road specializes in the performance of historical repertoire from both sides of the Atlantic. The ensemble performs throughout the region. Artistic Director Fiona Hughes joined me for a discussion about this weekend's concert and their latest recording project.
