Virginia Opera is back in Richmond this weekend, presenting Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" in the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Energy Center Friday evening (4/1) at 8pm and Sunday afternoon (4/3) at 2:30pm. Mozart's entertaining and joyful work is full of laughs, wooing, flirting and foolishness. The music is a perfect compliment to the truly captivating and scandalous plot.
The Richmond Symphony will be providing music from the pit for this performance, conducted by Artistic Director Adam Turner. I caught up with the maestro to get a preview of this latest production.
Yours in good music,
