The Richmond Symphony's April Masterworks concerts are upon us, and they will be joining forces with the Richmond Symphony Chorus to perform Franz Joseph Haydn's oratorio "The Creation."  Chorus Director Erin Freeman will lead the performances, her final appearances before stepping down to take over as the Artistic Director for the The City Choir of Washington.  Erin will still be in Richmond from time to time, as she's keeping her position as Resident Conductor of the Richmond Ballet.

It was a pleasure to spend some time with Erin discussing Haydn's Creation and I hope you'll have the chance to see one of the performances this weekend.  The concerts are being held Saturday evening at 8pm and Sunday afternoon at 3pm in the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Energy Center.  I will be hosting a pre-concert talk with Erin beginning one hour before each performance.

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg Classical Host, VPM Music
