Stories by the James: Elizabeth Wise

The James River has been a constant and cherished companion in musician Elizabeth Wise’s life. When she was homesick for the river, she wrote a song about it called “Richmondtown (Peace of Mind)”, which has become the title track for Stories by the James.

Elizabeth brings the James to life in delightful new ways by sharing her own experiences. Whether using the river as a wingman, or driving hours to seek solace on a river rock, Elizabeth reminds us of the more unique benefits of the James, and how the river can be our ally and our friend.

Listen to Stories by the James, Fridays at 6:44 a.m. and 8:44 a.m. during NPR's Morning Edition and at 4:44 p.m. during NPR's All Things Considered on VPM News (88.9 WCVE).
