The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia opens their 2022-23 concert season this weekend with performances in the Gellman Room at the Richmond Public Library and at St. Mary's Episcopal Church on River Road.  Saturday's concert (in the Gellman Room at 2pm) is free and can also be viewed via a live stream.  It's titled "Just Kidding" and celebrates the lighter side of life.  On Sunday (3pm at St. Mary's Episcopal Church), the CMSCVA artists will perform the twin quintets composed by Mozart within a month during the spring of 1787.

Artistic Director James Wilson joined me to preview these concerts and the upcoming season, accompanied by violinist Grant Houston and violist Fitz Gary.  I hope you enjoy our chat!

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg Classical Host, VPM Music
