The Music for a Cathedral Spaceconcert series at the Cathedral for the Sacred Heart in Richmond kicks off Friday evening at 7:30 with a performance by organist Bruce Stevens. This will be a dedicatory recital for the new Choir and Continuo Organs in the cathedral.
I recently had the opportunity to talk with Bruce and the cathedral's Director of Music and Liturgy Daniel Sañez. We discussed what makes the new organs so special, the repertoire on this opening concert and what's ahead for the series this year.
