The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia continues its 2022-23 season this weekend with two concerts in Metro Richmond.

"La Vida Notturna" includes Luigi Boccherini’s famous “Fandango” quintet, Spanish string quartets, and the world premiere of a new cello quintet by American composer Brian Nabors. The concert will be held Friday evening (2/3) at 7:00 in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church on Monument Avenue. Nabors draws from combinations of jazz, funk, R&B and gospel with the modern flair of contemporary classical music.

The Cramer Quartet will be performing Friday evening and then again on Saturday afternoon (2/4) at 2:00 in the Richmond Public Library. The quartet plays on period instruments and will present music by Franz Joseph Haydn, along with works by Caroline Shaw and Jessica Meyer.

Listen in as I preview the weekend events with Artistic Director (and cellist) James Wilson, violinist Jessica Park and composer Brian Nabors.

Yours in good music,
