The Richmond Symphony continues their Symphony Series this weekend (April 22-23), welcoming guest conductor Tito Munoz and pianist Michelle Cann. The program features the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Frederic Chopin, along a short work by the French composer Lili Boulanger and Sir Edward Elgar's Enigma Variations.

This will be a return visit to Richmond for Maestro Munoz, who appeared with the orchestra during the spring of 2015. This will be Michelle's debut performance in Richmond. The two joined me to discuss the music on this weekend's concerts. Performances are Saturday evening (4/22) at 8pm and Sunday afternoon (4/23) at 3pm, and we'll have pre-concert talks one hour before each performance.

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
