Chesterfield-born composer Damien Geter is the Richmond Symphony's new composer-in-residence. He'll be composing new works for the orchestra and helping to curate concerts through 2025.
I'm so thrilled to introduce Damien to our audience. Richmond Symphony Music Director Valentina Peleggi joined me recently for a great chat with Damien on "An Hour with the Richmond Symphony." We discussed one of his works that will be performed on the next Metro Series concerts "Mozart & More." These concerts will be held Friday evening (4/28) at 7:30 in the Perkinson Center for the Arts & Education, Saturday evening (4/29) at 7:30 in the Louis F. Ryan Recital Hall at St. Christopher's School in Richmond, and Sunday afternoon (4/30) at 3:00 in Blackwell Auditorium at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.
Enjoy our discussion!
Yours in good music,
