Hanover planning commission reviews comprehensive plan

Envision Hanover, the county's pending comprehensive plan, is nearing its final draft stage: A version of the multilayered document was presented to the planning commission last Thursday.
Andrew Pompei, Hanover’s deputy director of planning, told VPM News the plan builds on more than 4,000 comments staff received from the community. But it may still require some revisions before it’s brought to the board of supervisors.
UVA player returns to field after deadly attack

University of Virginia running back Mike Hollins was one of two survivors of a shooting last November that left three teammates dead. He was shot in the back, needed several surgeries and spent a week in the hospital before beginning a long rehabilitation.
Hollins uplifted his teammates when he returned for spring practices four months later. In a few weeks, he'll suit up for UVA's first game against Tennessee.
