The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia will open its 19th season this weekend. Upcoming concerts will take the audience on a tour of classical music that spans 400 years and visits places all over the world.

The opening concerts will be Saturday afternoon (9/30) at 2pm in the Richmond Public Library and Monday evening (10/2) at 7pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Church on Blanton Avenue in Richmond. These performances will be a culmination of the multi-year project based on Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition."

Artistic Director James Wilson joined me to talk about this weekend's events and discuss some highlights for the rest of the season.
