The Richmond Symphony's 2023-24 season is underway! Opening night brought a great start to the year with the first symphony by Gustav Mahler and a world premiere violin concerto by Italian composer Andrea Portera. Concertmaster Daisuke Yamamoto was featured as the soloist in honor of his tenth anniversary with the orchestra.
There are many more exciting concerts planned, from the Symphony Series to the Metro Series and Pops concerts. I sat down with Music Director Valentina Peleggi to discuss the various offerings.
