How Virginia redistricts election maps: A 2023 VPM voter guide
Reported by VPM News’ Meghin Moore
Del. Lamont Bagby ran against Steve Imholt and won the race for Senate District 9 during the winter. Now, the Democrat is running as an incumbent in Senate District 14.
Redistricting is the why. In simple terms, it’s how new political boundaries are drawn. And in Virginia, this November’s historic election is so important in part because of how redistricting the election maps worked out.

Infrastructure improvements along Hanover’s popular Atlee Station Road and Pole Green Road corridors are projected to cost the county around $50 million in state and local funds. Atlee Station Road is set to receive widening, sidewalk and shared use path enhancements.
