RVA Baroque and Coloratura are presenting "The Conjuror Appears: A Concert in Five Panels" with a talk by artist Rob Womack followed by a special concert by RVA Baroque in the Richmond Public Library. This unique event is taking place on Wednesday, October 25th at 6:30 P.M. in the library's Special Collections Room.

I recently sat down with Rob and violinist Raphael Seligmann to discuss the genesis of this project and how the music was chosen to represent the artwork. The mural "The Conjuror Revealed" was originally in the Altria Theater for many years and is now on display in the library. If you're not aware, Coloratura Furniture is paintings on furniture by Rob and his wife Catherine Roseberry.

Take a listen to our chat and I hope you have a chance to explore the art and music.

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
