The Richmond Pops Band directed by Earl Shaffer will present their annual Veterans Day concert on Sunday evening, November 5th at 7:30pm in the Altria Theater. The concert features band classics, Disney favorites, and a Veteran's Day tribute to our American Armed Forces. Guest artists include Grammy-nominated jazz saxophonist Mike Pendowski and vocal soloist Master Sargeant Sara Sheffield of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band.
Admission to the concert is free, but tickets are required and can be requested on the Pops website. I got a quick preview of the program from Earl Shaffer during my weekly Wind Ensemble Wednesday hour!
