The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia is presenting their next program at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church on Monument Avenue in Richmond Monday evening, December 18th at 7:00pm. It's titled "Fifth Season" because it travels beyond the "Four Seasons" by Vivaldi to his other concertos and includes a world premiere by American composer Kenyon Duncan.
I always enjoy talking with Artistic Director James Wilson and hearing how he puts together the various concerts that CMSCVA brings to our community. He tells us how he came up with idea of this collection of Vivaldi's music combined with a newly commissioned piece on the program.
