"Dracula"

This weekend, the Richmond Ballet presents the Virginia premiere of Ben Stevenson's "Dracula" with music of Franz Liszt. The production is "certain to enthrall audiences with its powerful choreography, haunting score, and spectacular production elements." It takes the classic tale of the vampire and his brides to new heights!

The dancers will be accompanied by the Richmond Symphony with guest piano soloist Douglas-Jayd Burn, who is the son of long-time Richmond Ballet Artistic Associate Malcolm Burn. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Douglas to discuss the upcoming shows, the amazing music of Liszt and the piano's critical role.

Performances are Friday at 7:00pm, Saturday at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, and Sunday at 1:00pm and 6:30pm.

Yours in good music,
