Something old, something new - look out world, it’s Time For The Blues!

JJ Grey & Mofro and Gary Clark Jr album covers

Henry Cook and I hope you will join us for Time For The Blues this Saturday Night, April 13, at 9:00 as we present another exciting episode for your listening pleasure. We’ve got a real mix of new and classic blues and more than a few surprises.

First up is Alligator recording artists JJ Grey & Mofro who are heading to town this Saturday to play The National Theatre. There’s nothing like catching a top bluesman live in concert so you might want to make plans to see Grey and Company, but to whet your appetite we’ve got some tracks from his new album, Songs from Olustee.

We’re also celebrating a new release from Gary Clark Jr. who has a new album out as well. His is called JPEG RAW, and while it is not strictly blues, Clark rarely strays too far from his roots. It’s an album that explores new ground so we’ve got a track from the new one and a few from earlier releases.

You know how much Henry likes his retro sounds, so you can count on a few surprises from the likes of The Kingbees, The Accelerators, and Chris Isaak. There’s a lot of great music in that set.

But it wouldn’t be Time For The Blues without some brand new music and have we got a couple that you will really enjoy. Take a listen to something new from Rick Estrin and the Nightcats from a release that won’t be out for a couple of months! We’ve also got Tad Robinson taking on a classic tune – and it’s just for you.

And now for some very exciting news!
