Vienna Boys Choir (Brucknerchor choir - named after Bruckner)

The Vienna Boys Choir is one of the oldest and most famous choirs in the world. They will be in Virginia this week, performing three concerts made possible by the Virginia Arts Festival. The choir will perform in Richmond at River Road Church, Baptist Thursday evening (December 12th) at 7pm.

The ensemble has four touring groups, performing over 300 concerts per year. It's exciting that we get to host them here in the Commonwealth this week. Tina Breckwoldt is the Press and Communications Officer, as well as the resident historian for the organization. She joined me to talk about the history of the choir and to give a preview of this week's concerts. After Richmond, the choir will perform in Williamsburg Friday evening and Norfolk on Saturday evening. I hope you have a chance to catch one of their concerts!

Yours in good music,
Mike Goldberg
